Sharing my negative, as well as positive, book-related experiences

July 11, 2017

So today was a great day because Jo Konta got through to the Wimbledon semi-finals! She’s the first British woman to get to the semis since 1978. I’ve no idea how the British players handle the immense pressure at Wimbledon; they have my utmost respect!

Today was also a not-so-good day, however, as I got my first bad Amazon review from someone who clearly didn’t enjoy my book. However, if you’re going to get a bad review, then get a really bad one I say – and this woman sure didn’t pull any punches! What saddened me a bit about the review, though, was that the reader was clearly hoping for a different type of book. But this is a book where there’s a lot of hidden meaning that you have to really search for. Other people seem to have really appreciated that aspect though, and hopefully some future readers will too; so I’ll focus on that!

Fingers crossed for Andy Murray tomorrow! I might be getting a bit ahead of myself (= I am), but imagine if Murray and Konta both got through to the finals and, well, if that happened, then…
